Meander Festival: Grieg, the sound of the North

Do you know what Edvard Grieg was crazy about? The rain. And he was lucky with his penchant for precipitation, because where he came from, it rains more than 200 days a year. The land of fjords and fells. The land he loved so intensely and always left with a heavy heart. Norway. Grieg succeeded in giving that land a voice. From the fairy-tale Morning Mood to the roaring in the Hall of the Mountain King. From his masterful Piano Concerto to his brilliant String Quartet. From his subtle Lyrische Stukken for piano to folk-sounding Violin Sonatas. A new music theater performance by actor Lucas Van den Eynde, the Desguin Kwartet, and pianist Florestan Bataillie. The loyal Meanderers who were there during the performances about Tchaikovsky in 2022 and Dvorak in 2024 know they are in the right place for an immersive evening!
