During a museum visit, we often slide quickly from one artwork to another. But art demands attention, to really look. With the 'slow art' technique, you discover how rich a painting or a sculpture becomes when you slow down your gaze and let yourself be completely carried away.\n\nAfter describing, we investigate together in a group what makes art valuable. Is it the vision of the maker? Is it the materials and techniques used? Or is it the innovative visual language? Each artwork evokes different meanings and perspectives, far beyond the financial value.\n\nUnder the guidance of the public mediation staff of Mu.ZEE, you experience the artworks in a new way. Ask yourself questions, share your insights with each other in small groups, and discover with us how versatile appreciating can be.\n\nWe will discuss the following artwork in July:\n Rachel Baes, La baronne de Crussol qui s’est cru sole – Par Madame Vigée-Lebrun, 1970\n\nWe will discuss the following artwork in August:\nDaan Gielis, Robber, 2021\n\nFree with registration via the link on our website, in the 'to do calendar'.
