De Vader - One sea

After the once-so-vibrant André has chased away his last home nurse, his daughter Anne sees no other option than to take her father, who is suffering from dementia, into her home. Caring for André puts the relationship between parent and child under high tension. What follows is a confusing maze in which truth and fiction become increasingly difficult to distinguish from one another. 'De Vader' is a psychological drama that offers an intimate look at the crumbling reality of a man with dementia. An intriguing family portrait in which the limits of 'affection' and 'unconditional love' are pushed to the extreme. How do you communicate with someone who experiences a different reality? How do you slowly say goodbye to someone who no longer recognizes you?
