Frans Kalf - Open-air concert

Frans Kalf is half Amsterdammer, half Ghentian, and a cynically cheerful bon vivant. With catchy songs and sharp lyrics, he takes you under the approving eye of Ramses Shaffy and Jacques Brel into his bittersweet world, where there is room for a broken heart and a roar of laughter. Not what you expect, and yet better than you thought. Because the words are not yet out of the world, but they are almost used up. And how do you still find words to say what matters?  Frans won the Nekka contest in 2025 and his debut single ‘Terwijl je voor me stond’ was released in January. The song draws the contours of Frans Kalf, where chanson intertwines with indie and folk. The song was immediately in the VOX-top of Radio 1.
