No return - Stan Geudens, lute & theorbo

On the first Sunday of June, Stan Geudens concludes the Twintigers series in the Clarenhofkapel. These young musicians were picked up by Klara and were given the opportunity to make themselves known to the general public. Stan Geudens started with classical guitar and discovered the theorbo at seventeen, after which he began to focus on early music, initially under the guidance of Jurgen De Bruyn. He is in his final year at the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel with Xavier Diaz-Latorre and Michele Pasotti. As a young plucker, he already plays in prominent ensembles such as Hespèrion XXI, the Nederlandse Bachvereniging, Il Pomo d'Oro, A Nocte Temporis, La Fonte Musica, and with soloists such as Jordi Savall, María Cristina Kiehr, Théotime Langlois de Swarte, Reinoud Van Mechelen, Francesco Corti, Charles Daniels and others. As for many enthusiasts of early music, the film Tous les matins du monde about Marin Marais played a key role in Stan's awareness. The title of this film refers to the unique character of every dawn: there is not one that ever returns, they are sans retour.
