One day, the buzz spread like wildfire through the sleepy town. Solnistad is buzzing with rumors… Norma told the news to Germain. Germain to Gigi. Gigi to the singing barber who came to eat at the restaurant in the evening. The barber to his customers. The customers to their neighbors. And the neighbors phoned their mothers. And? Have you heard yet? She is coming to our town! Ah, who? Esmeralda Jonagold! Is she still alive? Absolutely! Miraculous! A mystery! The dogs in the street perk up at so much sudden activity. Look at them, they think. Humans, what strange animals they are! The rumor of the arrival of a world-famous diva brings excitement to the sleepy little village of Solnistad. While the residents get carried away by the ever-louder buzz, the stray dogs watch from a distance. With humorous commentary, the dogs tell how the whispering suspicions and fabrications get out of hand and turn the village upside down. Geroezemoes (Buzz) is a visual and funny performance about the power of stories and rumors. The two performers show how quickly fabrications become bigger, louder, and crazier. This compelling story comes to life in a colorful set full of objects, figures, and sound.
