Click here for tickets in presale De Zwitserse drummer Florian Arbenz proves again that he is more than a brilliant drummer. He is a curator of unforgettable musical chemistry. In his organ trio, he unites the Nederlandse Hammondvirtuoos Arno Krijger and the American saxophone legend Chris Cheek. Rooted in the rich tradition of the Hammond sound, yet exploring captivating new musical terrain, this cross-continental collaboration offers both depth and surprise. Warrior's extraordinary technique – playing bass with his feet – gives his hands the freedom to develop orchestral textures, making every performance a sound and viewing experience. Together, this trio promises an exciting, boundary-breaking jazz experience that captivates ears, eyes, and imagination. The fantastic concert with the Vistel Brothers and François Moutin two years ago in the club alone is reason enough to invite drummer Florian Arbenz again. Meanwhile, artists like Bill Frisell, Ron Carter of Greg Osby are only too happy to work together with this Swiss drummer. And then we are not even talking about his numerous projects with European musicians. De Nederlandse Hammond organist Arno Krijger is one of the few who walks a contemporary path with this instrument, without disowning the roots of the Hammond organ. Years ago he was often seen with Toine Thys in Belgian clubs, meanwhile, he plays all over Europe. He worked together with, among others, John Scofield and Billy Hart and is a permanent member of another formidable Hammond trio, viz. Nils Wograms Nostalgia. Chris Cheek is a saxophonist and composer from the USA, known for his lyrical tone, restrained virtuosity, and deep commitment to both jazz tradition and contemporary improvisation. His playing is known for melodic clarity and subtle phrasing. He played together with, among others, Bill Frisell, Paul Motian, Charlie Haden, and Kurt Rosenwinkel, to name but a few.
