The Dementia Cabaret – a Performance to never forget

€15
Extended due to the good response: a show about dementia. ‘Tactfully, funnily & absurdly presented’. Karel gives playful tips: how to deal with forgetfulness in others and ourselves. If you use humor with love, that also shows respect. See you then, if you don't forget to come!
Karel Declercq made this performance with, among other things, suggestions from Foton Brugge and dementia-friendly Ghent. It is a form of infotainment: how humor helps with better handling of forgetting. The humor in the performance makes the serious message come across better. The ten commandments of dementia care are spiced up with current and comical examples.
There is also a lot of life wisdom in the program. Karel drew inspiration from his own mother, among others. He also takes tips from recent scientific studies, which state that dementia can be prevented or reduced in one third of cases.
‘Tactfully, funnily and absurdly presented’ (Dirk Daelemans, Deze Week, Ghent). Article.
‘Those ten commandments of dementia care are completely true to life and a guideline. Really well presented and knowledgeable.’ (Roland van de Steene, Ruiselede).
