Forget the polished pop girls. Emmy d’Arc is of a different caliber. While her peers were still playing with dolls, Emmy de Playstation sang the Singstar game to pieces and claimed her first guitar. The mission was already clear back then: get on stage. Not to please, but to overpower. What followed was a fifteen-year crusade along more than 450 stages. From sweaty concert clubs to the hallowed ground of Pukkelpop, Gent Jazz, and Rock Werchter. Her sound? A hybrid of intimate singer-songwriter, pop, and glowing power rock that begs for an arena. Armed with a guitar, a piano, a loop station, and a voice that can soothe like a bandage and strike like a sledgehammer, she creates a wall of sound all by herself that many a full band is jealous of. Emmy d’Arc is no longer a promise. She is a settled fact. And she is coming to win. She will soon be performing at, among others, the Ancienne Belgique and at Werchter Boutique.
