Floris and the Flames - Fireworks!

Four red-haired musicians. A violinist as frontman. This fiery foursome brings a mix of virtuoso classical, danceable folk, and flaming rock. Van Bach to The Beatles, from ‘Stairway to Heaven’ to ‘Highway to Hell’: a musical rollercoaster in which classical masterpieces and original compositions shimmer with energy and playing pleasure. Violist Floris Willem is classically trained in Vienna, but flies dancing and jumping across the stage as if his bow is made of fire. He is flanked by Gert Peeten on piano and guitar, Dries Peeten on bass guitar, and Simon Schrooten on drums and electronics. From BOZAR to the Gentse Feesten to the Muziekgebouw Eindhoven: Floris and the Flames brings finesse and fireworks in an explosive show. The spark also caught on abroad, including in Vienna, Warsaw, Prague, and at the World Expos in Osaka and Dubai.
