La Badinerie celebrates Saint Jean by evoking daylight throughout the year through musically moving compositions and inspired poetic texts. Le Requiem de Michael John TROTTA is a deeply touching and moving exploration of love and grief. Rooted in tradition while integrating a contemporary harmonic language, Gregorian chant motifs intertwine within lush harmonies and sublime melodies. The Alleluia by Eric Whitacre is a transcendent and powerful choral work that explores joy and praise through rich and ethereal harmonies. This composition is described as an immersive and luminous sonic experience. At the end of the concert, VANGELIS 1492 will invite you to join your voices with those of the choir on the famous theme of Conquest of Paradise / Light and Shadow.
