Wereldvluchtelingendag Festival in Antwerp

On Op Wereldvluchtelingendag we open the Stuivenbergsite for a broad and inviting afternoon where meeting, culture, and reflection are central. Visitors can walk freely between different places on the site and put together their own route. From music and food to workshops, sports, film, and conversation.\n\nPROGRAM\n\n1:30 PM: Festival opening\n\n2:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Free opening lecture & book signing by Majd Khalifeh (registration is recommended via this link)\n\n3:30 PM - 5:30 PM: Live music\n\n5:30 PM - 6:00 PM: Performance van Raj’a Dabke Dans\n\n6:00 PM - 10:00 PM: DJ sets by young people from BOSlabs, PSC Youth Work, the Rode Kruis-reception center Linkeroever & Peperduur\n\nCONTINUOUS PROGRAM:\n\nFree workshops by De Loodsen, Youth.Unity.Empowerment & the Red Star Line Museum Kinderanimatie, bouncy castle and sports by the Jeugdhuis van Vrede, Atlas, Buurtsport Antwerpen and Rising You Kortfilms around the theme and testimonies in our film corner hosted by Filmhuis Klappei Belevingsexpo A Mile In My Shoes van Curieus, where you listen to stories by literally walking in someone else's shoes.\n\nDelicious food stalls by, among others, the residents of the Linkeroever reception center and various communities of El Hikma 2060 vzw.
