Guided walk - Christina the Astonishing 'a special story'

802 years ago, 'Kerstiene' died, today known as Christina Mirabilis: the young orphan who, according to tradition, resurrected during her funeral. More than eight centuries later, she continues to inspire people all over the world. But did you know that in the 12th and 13th centuries, several mystical women lived in the Graafschap Loon? Who were they, what drove them, and why did they choose a mystical life? On the occasion of Christina's name day on July 24, we invite you for a special evening walk through Borgloon. In the quiet summer evening, you will discover the stories, history, and legends surrounding Christina de Wonderbare and other mystical women from our region. Along the way, we also visit the Sint-Odulphuskerk, a beautiful piece of heritage that is closely linked to Christina and her special life story.
