This is a supergroup for fans of the glam rock of the 70s.
The band was founded in 2005 by Jeff Brown van The Sweet.
The starting point of the group was to put together a band of original glam rock superstars and veteran members of well-known bands and to give a show of classics from the seventies with all the enthusiasm and dedication that was present when the songs were originally released. The Original Jukebox Heroes, is a live-action, select-a-disc spectacle that takes you back to the days of glitter, glamour and platform boots! Jeff is joined on stage by brothers-in-arms, Phil Hendriks van Les McKeown's Bay city rollers, Steve Whalley who bravely filled the shoes of Noddy Holder in Slade when he left the band, Pete Phipps, the original, drumming Powerhouse van The Glitterband, Phil Wright (one of the founders of Paper Lace) plays drums and sings lead vocals. Last, but certainly not least, Dave Major is present on keyboards, who has played with T-Rex since Mickey Finn reformed the band as a tribute to Marc Bolan.
