Siem, a young theater maker, is at a crossroads in his life: his career is stalling, his relationship is wavering, and the recognition from his father remains absent. For a new performance, he talks to his father about his burdened war past, in the hope of better understanding himself.
TRAUM is a poetic and absurd allegory about a war between Foxes and Rabbits, in which past and present flow into each other. With animal masks, a layered frame narrative, and music by Tim Vanhamel, an intense search for identity and the traces that a beastly past leaves on future generations is created.
Inspired by the graphic novel Maus van Art Spiegelman, Simon De Vos wrote a new play script. Theater FroeFroe creates the animal heads.
