Fate brought me to this beautiful country 10 years ago, where life is fantastic, but where it also goes fantastically wrong so often. That too is fate and I embrace that with pleasure. Jan Jaap van der Wal is now 10 years ‘Flemish in training’ and can no longer be imagined without in Flemish theaters and on television. The love is mutual and to celebrate that, Jan Jaap is bringing his biggest show yet in Flanders. ‘Because whether we go under due to a possible war, or a budget deficit, or we choke on a shrimp croquette at the seaside; go under we will anyway and let's do it with a big smile then.’ Jan Jaap van der Wal has been a comedian for almost thirty years and has made four full-length shows in Flanders since 2015, including the acclaimed election conference Geen Stem . On television, he made a splash as a jury member of De Slimste Mens ter Wereld and as a presenter of De Ideale Wereld and Jan Jaap Op Zondag.
