Documentary, Vincent Munier, 93’, French, 2025 After The Velvet Queen , in which nature photographer Vincent Munier searches for a snow leopard on the Tibetan plateaus, Munier now stays in his native region: the Vosges. In the deeply carved valleys and dense winter forests of the Vosges, we share a mountain cabin with three generations of Muniers. Vincent, his father Michel, who taught him the love for the forest, and son Simon marvel together at the fragile primal power of nature. The documentary unfolds as a cinematic poem. Vincent Munier captures the elusive presence of lynxes, bears, deer, and owls, and shows how every track, every breath of mist, and every sound in the forest carries a story. For him, looking becomes a form of listening, of reciprocity. Le chant des forêts invites us to slow down and reconnect with the living landscape. It is a film that asks the question: how do we become part of the world that sustains us again? (Sphinx)
