Olivier Vander Bauwede Quintet, The Sound of Toots

It has been ten years, one month, and twelve days since Toots Thielemans, perhaps our greatest musician ever, passed away. Olivier Vander Bauwede is the suitable musician to pay tribute to this musical hero. With his quintet, he brings the musical legacy of Toots; from the Three Views of a Secret van Jaco Pastorius, something from his 'Brazilian projects', naturally Bluesette, and work for films such as the soundtrack of Midnight Cowboy, appropriately supplemented with Olivier's work. Peter Hertmans, the guitarist of the quintet, has worked with Toots. Olivier was already a guest in De Ploter as a musician with the unfortunately much too early deceased Tiny Legs Tim.
