Hoverflies are those insects that can occasionally hang perfectly still in the air, hence the name. ‘The hoverfly’ does not exist because it is not a species in itself: a few hundred species occur in Flanders. Ideal for a themed walk in the Zwin Natuur Park. Bet you look at these insects completely differently afterwards?
