bicycle tour: in the footsteps of Emile Claus and other artists

We start in the “beet harvest room” of the mudel with plenty of information about the life of Emile Claus and his paintings, including, of course, the monumental painting “Beet Harvest”. By bike, we will then visit about ten places where Claus painted his works. Along the way, other Leie artists from that time will also be discussed, such as Jenny Montigny and also his friend and writer Cyriel Buysse, and of course, we will also pause to consider the nature and other peculiarities and interesting facts of the region. The cycling tour is approximately 20 to 25 km, and we will do it at a leisurely pace with many stops. Registration is mandatory via the link below.
