Sofiya Astapiuk Quartet

From 2020 to 2025, Sofiya Jazzzang studied at the Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Music under the guidance of Marjorie Barnes, Francien van Tuinen, and Esra Dalfidan. She further developed her artistic voice through private lessons with internationally renowned musicians and teachers, including JD Walter, Judy Niemack, Michael Mayo, Deborah Brown, and Dena DeRose. As a performing artist, Sofiya has performed on international stages and festivals such as Jazzahead! in Bremen, ESNS, and inJazz, and has given concerts in Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, and the Netherlands. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with artists such as Jesse Davis, Don Braden, Luis Bonilla, and David Berkman, and performed with ensembles such as the Jasper Blom Tripod Quartet, the Big Band of the Prins Claus Conservatorium, the Belarussisch Nationaal Orkest, and the Big Band der Bundeswehr during international tours.
