Musette is the blues from Paris. Paris Musette originated from the dangerous liaison between the dance music of the Auvergnats and Italian folk music. Add to that later the swing from jazz and the lyricism from the chanson, and you get rousing music, imbued with melancholy and frivolous virtuosity. Gwen Cresens brings an homage to the Belgische Django Reinhardt of the accordion: Gus Viseur. An inspiring grandmaster of the accordion, passionate composer, masterful improviser, and every inch a gentleman.
