Text and direction: Maurice De Grauwe.
Things are not going smoothly for the Vandecloot-Droogenbroeck family. Robert Vandecloot, an avid angler, is only tolerated as the breadwinner. Professionally, the man of the house is responsible for collecting household waste. His wife Chantal and her unemployed resident sister Magda Droogenbroeck are financially dependent on that single salary of Robert's. Chantal toils day in and day out in the household. Zus Magda is not very helpful and dreams of one day running his own horse ranch. In and out of season, Lucie Vindevogel, the sophisticated widow of Gustaaf Deneut, drops by for coffee and gossip. From the moment the letter franked with a South African postage stamp is delivered, all hell breaks loose. We are swept away by the expectations and above all the fascinating and wacky story of the wealthy sugar uncle Gerard. Fits of laughter are strongly guaranteed in this surprising comedy.
