Book Festival: Gilbert Nyantanyi signs

Gilbert Nyatanyi signs his touching autobiographical debut novel 'Het jongetje dat bijen at'. Born in Rwanda but raised in down-to-earth West Flanders, he tells about his youth full of honey, warmth, and color which takes on a different luster when he loses his father and is sent to Belgium as a child. He weaves the story of his family and a torn country with that of a boy who learns what resilience sounds like – sometimes like a buzz. This event is part of Feest van het Boek (www.standaardboekhandel.be/feest-van-het-boek).
