Sometimes you meet someone or something, not just like that, but on a deeper level. Harmonic Encounters is an invitation to that meeting: with yourself, with the other, with the sound. During this lying concert, you will be immersed in a fabric of healing resonances: singing bowls, tongue drum, handpan, drum, and other special instruments fill the space and bring body and mind into a state of deep rest and receptivity. Biografie Andy Vanbeveren is passionate about music and its effects on humans. What once started with singing bowls and gongs has since grown into a collection of more than 300 instruments. Native American Flute, didgeridoo, handpan, tongue drum, all kinds of percussion and drums, numerous string instruments, piano, and many other world instruments belong to his unique collection. He completed various training courses at home and abroad and was able to learn from many great 'masters' in their field such as Hans de Back (singing bowls), Shree Krishna Shahi and Santa Ratna Shakya (singing bowls), Don Conreaux (gongs), Michael Telepary (Native American Flute), Nestor Kornblum (overtone singing),... Since 2010, he has had more than 1000 concerts to his name. Not only throughout Flanders, but also in the Netherlands. He played at Tomorrowland, the Japanese garden in Hasselt, Casino van Blankenberge, numerous cultural centers, churches, etc. He is known for his lasting innovations in sound combinations. A passion that he now also knows how to interpret via live looping.
