Lying-down concert 'Handpan Heartbeat'

Let yourself drift on the soft pulses of the handpan. Close your eyes and feel how the rhythms feel like heartbeats from another world. In this lying-down concert, you are enveloped by handpan sounds, sometimes rhythmic and rousing, other times… subtle and soft. But often also warm and inviting, each time opening a new path to deep rest. Naturally, Andy combines his handpans again with other instruments, but sometimes you also hear them solo. The handpan invites you to slow down, to listen with your whole body. Each tone carries a whisper, a memory of simplicity, a vibration that takes you to a place where dreams and silence touch. Lie down, close your eyes, breathe. Feel how the melodies wrap around you like soft waves and take you to a space of inner warmth and light. Handpan Heartbeats… a true sound journey for the heart, a dreaming field of resonance in which you may completely melt away. Biografie Andy Vanbeveren is passionate about music and its effects on people. What once started with singing bowls and gongs has since grown into a collection of more than 300 instruments. Native American Flute, didgeridoo, handpan, tongue drum, all kinds of percussion and drums, numerous string instruments, piano, and many other world instruments belong to his unique collection. He completed various training courses at home and abroad and was able to learn from many great 'masters' in their field such as Hans de Back (singing bowls), Shree Krishna Shahi and Santa Ratna Shakya (singing bowls), Don Conreaux (gongs), Michael Telepary (Native American Flute), Nestor Kornblum (overtone singing),... Since 2010, he has had more than 1000 concerts to his name. Not only throughout Flanders, but also in the Netherlands. He played at, among others, Tomorrowland, the Japanese garden in Hasselt, Casino van Blankenberge, numerous cultural centers, churches, etc. He is known for his continuous innovations in sound combinations. A passion that he has since also been able to interpret via live looping. In the past, he played together with other musicians such as Tylaine Van den Broeck (piano), Gilbert Isbin (lute), John Snauwaert (sax), Michael Telapary (American Native Flute), Nicolas Mortelmans (sitar), Hari Paudjal (bansuri flute), Hélène Philippart (bansuri flute and transverse flute), Manish Pingle (slide guitar), Catherine Maes (mezzo-soprano), Bart Gits (taiko), Kees Kort (shakuhachi), Aki Vergels-Sato (koto), Cantavita (overtone singing), etc. In addition, he has already accompanied numerous yoga sessions, meditation, teambuildings, festivals, Ecstatic Dance, etc.
