Rosie Stuart

Marca Boutique Rosie Stuart is the band around Roosje Nillis, determined to put Ghent extra on the map. What started as a solo project grew into a four-piece band. They make raw songs full of contrasts: 100 percent black and white, without room for gray. Central to the band is frontwoman and songwriter Rosie, whose restless creativity propels the project. Sometimes her voice evokes the fearless je m’en foutisme of her mother – a trait she carried as a member of the Kortrijk cult band Midnight Men. Others hear nuances of Sinéad O’Connor, PJ Harvey of Patti Smith in Rosie’s striking vocals. The band won De Nieuwe Lichting van Studio Brussel in 2026 with the song ‘Cupid’. In this song, a sharp, rattling bass line pulls you immediately into the love game.
