Nine-year-old Hogarth finds the good-natured robot and the two quickly become best friends. But danger lurks: the military and a deranged FBI agent want to destroy the iron giant. Hogarth tries to protect his big friend from the prejudices and fears of the angry outside world. Before director Brad Bird scored hits at Pixar with films including The Incredibles and Ratatouille, this small masterpiece already drew attention. De Ijzeren Reus is a beautifully designed sci-fi animated film that will continue to entertain a young generation but also contains double meanings for the parents. As they say: a classic for the whole family! For children aged 6 and up.
