Naka Quartet Music

Naka Quartet

Sun, 7 Feb 2027 · 11:00
Kunstencentrum Ten Bogaerde, Koksijde
€8–16
Named after the Japanese word for connection, Naka Quartet plays music that builds bridges, raises questions, and seeks balance. The string quartet, with Karen Nonomuraen Giovanna Sevi on violin, Camille Havel on viola, and Boris Benazdia on cello, was formed in 2024. Under the guidance of renowned musicians from Quatuor Diotima, Silesian String Quartet, and Quatuor Danel, they develop a musical DNA full of curiosity, passion, and a sense of experiment. Their repertoire is very varied: from Baroque, Classicism, and contemporary music to improvisation. They bring both classical string quartets and contemporary creations with special attention to Belgian repertoire. Naka Quartet is the winner of Supernova 2026. Supernova, an initiative of KLARA, is an encouragement prize that offers young classical artists name recognition and performance opportunities, a business card at the beginning of their promising career. Cultural center CasinoKoksijde is one of the star-gazers of this competition. We commit ourselves to giving the winners a stage annually.
