BXL, EXQUISITE CORPSE In a true declaration of love to Brussels, Gaspard Melville reveals with scathing humor the manufacturing secrets of his hometown. Half-historian, half-stand-up comedian, he leads us into the DNA of Brussels, a surrealist territory resistant to any form of discipline. A favorite of the TTO, this one-man show takes over the main hall to tell the Brussels epic, from the vaulting of the Senne to Expo 58, from the humor of the STIB to the mayor on an elephant's back. After creating the page “Les Visites of my neighbor” on social networks, Gaspard Melville condenses his best anecdotes into this show. He takes us behind the scenes to try to capture the elusive soul of this city in a thousand pieces. Result: 80 minutes of desynchronized swimming in the great Brussels pool. And if Gaspard sometimes scratches the city in passing, his show still pays tribute to it: a city without dogma, capable of the worst as well as the best, where beauty can emerge from chaos.
