The uprising of the facades - The Opera, Thomas Verstraeten

A MUSICAL INTERPRETATION OF THE CITY During the Odegand festival on Saturday, September 12, two facades in Ghent will tear themselves away from the row of houses and switch places. Accompanied by local residents and musicians, they will approach each other in a procession. Thomas Verstraeten invites everyone to experience this. Discover everything about the caravan here. After the festive procession, Thomas Verstraeten places the facades on stage as a backdrop for a new performance. He invites the inhabitants of the city to give musical expression to the facades. From hurdy-gurdy to homemade instruments to a DJ deck: a colorful group of people and instruments forms the newly assembled city orchestra that takes on the challenge.
