Fate brought me to this beautiful country 10 years ago, where it is fantastic to live, but where it also so often goes fantastically wrong. That too is fate and I embrace that with pleasure too.” Jan Jaap van der Wal is now 10 years “Flemish in training” and can no longer be imagined out of the Flemish theaters and on television. The love is mutual and to celebrate that, Jan Jaap brings his biggest show to date in Flanders. “Because whether we go under due to a possible war, or a budget deficit, or we choke on a shrimp croquette at the seaside; go under we will anyway and let's do it with a big smile then.” Jan Jaap van der Wal has been a comedian for almost thirty years and has made four full-length shows in Flanders since 2015, including the acclaimed election conference “Geen Stem”.
