Broodje Brussel, these are midday city trips for those who work and live in Brussels. Discover an aspect of the museum once a month on Thursday each time from 13:00 to 14:00. Metamorphoses: the art of change De Romeinse poet Ovid wrote his Metamorphoses in 8 AD, an epic poem that served as a source of inspiration for artists for centuries. Baroque artists in particular are masters at making these changes visible. In this walk we go in search of the mythological stories and visual language with the turning points in worldly and religious scenes. Even in still lifes we find the traces of time, subtly depicted but very present. Perhaps the paintings and sculptures do not preserve moments but the slow movement with which man constantly reinvents himself.
