Christmas Tour Jong Scala, Daniel Verstappen, Olivia Trappeniers

A magical Christmas concert evening in Zuiderpershuis Op on Tuesday, December 22, the Christmas Tour van Jong Scala and Daniel Verstappen land in the Zuiderpershuis in Antwerp. For the fifth jubilee edition, pianist and composer DANIEL VERSTAPPEN shares the stage with violist Marina Barskaya, singer Olivia Trappeniers and the youthful choir talent of Jong Scala, one of the auditioned Scaletta choirs under the direction of Stijn Kolacny. On the program is an atmospheric mix of classical and modern Christmas music, virtuoso piano and violin work, impressive choir arrangements and surprising reworkings of world-famous songs. Daniel Verstappen and Marina Barskaya bring classical music together with contemporary and electronic influences, while the voices of Jong Scala provide extra power and emotion. Special guest Olivia Trappeniers completes the evening with her warm voice and strong stage presence. She first stole the hearts of the Flemish audience in 2016 during The Voice van Vlaanderen. A year later she was voted the very first MNM Rising Star, after which her big breakthrough followed thanks to her collaboration with Regi. With the monster hit Kom Wat Dichterbij, together with Jaap Reesema, she wrote Flemish music history. Together, Daniel, Marina, Olivia and Jong Scala create an immersive Christmas experience in which classical, pop and modern influences merge. A warm and festive concert evening full of musical surprises and goosebump moments, in the unique setting of the Zuiderpershuis.
