Zondag De Negenste - A film by Kat Steppe

Zondag De Negenste tells the story of brothers Horst (Josse De Pauw) and Franz (Peter van den Begin) who see each other again after a life full of missed opportunities. Horst suffers from a lack of joy in life and Alzheimer's. Franz needs money and hopes for his brother's inheritance. Ook Andrea, Horst's great love, appears. Old passions, old wounds, and a rivalry between two brothers that goes back further than they realize come to the surface. Whether we still know what happened on ‘Zondag de Negenste’ or not. The film intertwines the memories of two brothers with those of the residents of a nursing home and thus tells in a unique way that caring for each other might be the most essential form of humanity.
