LIVE MUSIC - The Radar Station originated in 2017 from the collaboration between brothers Brent Buckler (vocals, guitar) and Sander Cliquet (guitar, backing vocals, synths). They bring a characteristic mix of indie rock and cinematic soundscapes, full of intensity and raw emotion, with influences from, among others, The National, The War on Drugs, Sam Fender, Nick Cave, and Big Thief. In 2020, the band won De Nieuwe Lichting, after which they released their debut album Life Inside A Tornado. Singles received airplay on, among others, Studio Brussel, Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio Willy, Classic 21, and NPO 2 and 5 (NL). They played sold-out shows in AB, Trix, and Het Depot and performed at festivals like Rivierenhof, Dranouter, and Labadoux, leaving their mark on the Belgian indie scene. After a few years of reflection and writing sessions in the south of France, The Radar Station returns with Birds Of Choice, produced by Koen Gisen. The album shows a more mature and straightforward band. Songs like Where Will You Go? and January Colours combine Cliquet's broad musical landscape with Buckler's introspective lyrics and warm voice. Birds Of Choice originated from a period of personal change and is about searching for what is truly important and determining your own life path. The artwork was created by Benoit Vangeel, based on photos by Ilo Meeze. With drummer Robbe Broeckx, bassist Toon Rumen, and percussionist Wes Verschoren in the ranks, the band has grown further. The Radar Station is now signed to V2 Records and ready to show their next chapter. Location: Café Lucienne, Duffelsesteenweg 1 Lint ADMISSION € 16 image © Alexander Popelier
