Kelegat van Kortrijk V

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, we are organizing Met de Main Stream Bigband, the Kelegat van Kortrijk, a unique singing competition! Accompanied by our big band, we give eight candidates the chance to crown themselves Kelegat van Kortrijk. Remember the numerous talent shows on television (Idol, Voice van Vlaanderen, X-factor, Pop-academy, …). Every year, the highlight for the audience and the candidates themselves was the big band round. The candidates were given the chance to perform a song live with a 20-piece live orchestra. The candidates experienced firsthand that it feels completely different to sing with a big chunk of energy behind you. It's not easy, singing with a live orchestra, but all the more satisfying. This year, for the fifth year in a row, we are bringing this experience to you with Met de Main Stream Bigband. 8 candidates, 8 swinging songs, a three-member professional and international jury! And, above all, an interactive experience: the audience can vote for their favorite song/candidate. So don't miss this opportunity, and be sure to be there!
