Lecture: Inner lights: when Verviers painters sublimated everyday life by Emmanuel GRÉGOIRE

Far from the hustle and bustle of major metropolises, a handful of talented artists like Maurice Pirenne, Georges Le Brun, Philippe Derchain and a few others have chosen to paint silence and capture the poetry of suspended moments. This conference invites you to push open the door of their studios to explore their inner lights. Through their canvases, the Intimists of Verviers have achieved the prodigy of sublimating the everyday, transforming familiar scenes and secret interiors into true masterpieces of gentleness and sensitivity. A one-and-a-half-hour immersion at the heart of our Walloon heritage, ideal for art enthusiasts as well as the curious eager to rediscover these masters of discretion. 📅 Date: 01/20/2027 / 6:00 PM-7:30 PM 📍 Location: Musées de Verviers - rue Renier 19 - 4800 Verviers 💶 Price: 5€ ✏️ Mandatory registration at musees@verviers.be - 087 326 089
