Marble Sounds has occupied a unique position in the Belgian music landscape for years.
With ‘Leave A Light On’ the band already scored a straight Belpop classic in 2013 and since then they have always continued to challenge themselves musically.
For the new and sixth record “Core.Memory\", which appeared in March 2025, frontman and inspirer Pieter Van Dessel changed course. Piano and strings made room for a ‘fuller’, almost electronic and pure pop sound with synths in which the spirit of Giorgio Moroder and Top Gun wanders.
“Metamorphosis succeeded”, wrote the Dutch OOR. In our own country, too, the reviews were lyrical. Humo described the album as “seamlessly forged indie pop with the fresh sincerity of a debut”, and De Morgen was “knocked over once again” by the sparkling pop songs. Radio 1 bombarded the record as “Album of the Week”.
During the new theater tour, the new songs are covered, supplemented with songs from the rich repertoire that Marble Sounds built up during the last 15 years.
