On Saturday evening 7 November 2026, KIKH will host one of the most powerful Belgian blues and roots bands: Doghouse Sam & his Magnatones!
The Dit Belgisch-Dutch trio has built a solid live reputation throughout Europe. With performances in more than fifteen countries, victory in the Belgian Blues Challenge, and a second place during the European Blues Challenge, the band belongs to the absolute top of the Belgian blues scene.
Frontman Doghouse Sam – Wouter Celis – sings and plays guitar and blues harp. Together with double bassist Martin Ubaghs and drummer Franky Gomez, he brings a steaming mixture of rhythm-and-blues, roots, blues, rock-’n-roll, and a touch of country.
Do not expect a well-behaved, predictable blues evening. Doghouse Sam writes strong original songs and pours 1950s authentic rhythm-and-blues into a fresh, raw, and remarkably recognizable sound. Music with a warm heart, an eccentric twist, and above all, an incredible amount of playing pleasure!
Tight drums, a pumping double bass, tearing guitar, blues harp, and a singer who pulls every song straight from his toes: Doghouse Sam & his Magnatones guarantee an engaging performance full of energy, craftsmanship, and humor.
Sitting still will be exceptionally difficult. Get those dancing muscles ready in advance!
