MANU & .multibeat (NL) - De Herontdekking of Heaven

What does language mean in a world that is increasingly splintering? In De Herontdekking of Heaven, word artist Manu van Kersbergen explores together with music collective .multibeat the healing, creative, and destructive power of language. From the perspective of a father who tries to explain to his children what is happening in the world, van Kersbergen weaves personal stories with social themes such as racism, conflict, identity, and resistance. The result is an urgent, poetic, and musically layered story about connection, meaning, and language as a bridge or fault line. The performance was, among other things, nominated for a Theo d’Or (2025) in the category ‘most groundbreaking stage performance’ and was selected for both the Nederlands Theater Festival and the TheaterFestival (2025) as one of the most significant works of the preceding cultural season.
