Water is much more than what we see on the surface. During this walk, together with Kjell and Heleen, we will discover the hidden world of pools, puddles, and water in the Damvallei. We will search for aquatic life, examine how water has shaped and is shaping the landscape. Moreover, we will pause to consider the fascinating natural processes taking place beneath the water's surface. A fascinating journey of discovery for anyone interested in nature, biodiversity, and the wondrous world of water.
Meeting point on Sunday, November 8 at 10:00 AM at the insect hotel opposite Asanti (Schipgrachtstraat 2), if necessary: parking further down at Fit Out (Damvalleistraat 40, Destelbergen). Suitable clothing and footwear are recommended. Goggles and flippers are not needed. This walk is not suitable for wheelchair users.
