As a prelude to Christmas, the ensemble Les Goûts-Authentiques brings a program with music from the Lage Landen of the 17th century. Not large-scale music intended for the church or important secular ceremonies, but intimate chamber music for voice, recorder, virginal, and percussion. At first glance, one might think that this repertoire, which was usually limited to the living room, is less interesting.
