Book Festival: Lecture and signing session Bert Cornelis with 'De rector'

On Saturday, November 7th, we welcome Bert Cornelis at Standaard Boekhandel Leuven for a lecture and signing session around his book 'De rector'. In 1943, rector Honoré van Waeyenbergh refuses to hand over the addresses of Leuven students to the German occupier. With this, a remarkable showdown begins. Bert Cornelis talks about this resistance and the struggle of Belgian universities for academic freedom during WWII. This event is part of Feest van het Boek (www.standaardboekhandel.be/feest-van-het-boek).
