Yasmine, known as the singer with a deep love for poetic lyrics, chose a more personal musical direction halfway through her career. Inspired by greats like Daniel Lanois, Joni Mitchell, and Leonard Cohen, she brought a new sound with Portfolio. This album and the successful singles ‘Ik Was Zo Graag Bij Jou Gebleven, Ik Tover Jou, Diep In Mij and Nooit Nog an Other’ earned her her first gold record. The subsequent album ‘Prêt-à-Porter’ also went gold thanks to hits like ‘Porselein’ and ‘Altijd Weer Tikt De Klok’.\nIn 2004, Yasmine celebrated ten years on stage with the compilation album ‘Liefde en Liedjes’ and a tour of the same name.
