Opening Concert Piano Presto · Anastasiya Bazhenova

Pianiste Anastasiya Bazhenova, known for her debut in Carnegie Hall, opens Piano Presto, the festival for Piano Day, with a compelling solo recital in an intimate salon in the heart of Antwerp. With her acclaimed program From Mendelssohn to Madness, the Oslo-based pianist takes you on a psychological journey: from the lyrical clarity of Mendelssohns Lieder ohne Worte to the raw tension of Prokofjevs Zesde's sonata. Her debut album was picked up by Gramophone, France Musique, and ORF Ö1; the press praises her "natural musicality and enormous emotional depth." Piano Presto is the annual festival with which The Antwerp Pianist Piano Day celebrates, and this recital opens the second edition. Barely 30 seats, so you are right up close. Those who make a complete evening of it sit down at the table beforehand for a dinner. Thursday, March 25, 2027 at 7 PM. Reservations via www.theantwerppianist.be.
