Pats, the new front door is a fact for race comedienne An Nelissen: she has passed the mark of 70! That immediately means that she has also been on the boards for 50 years. Reason for a double party. Want An is happy that she is still alive and intends to do so for a long time. That is why, on the occasion of her anniversary, she likes to look to the future. Because with so much past, you otherwise threaten to forget that there is still a future. And so An gives a party for her audience. With 70 years of life on the counter, An thought she had collected enough life wisdom to be able to undergo life calmly. Nothing is less true, however. When she receives a letter from a seven-year-old who asks her a number of pertinent questions, the fence is off the dam. With the help of the audience, she tries to answer the questions and cast a look at the future, even though it is becoming shorter and shorter for her. An Nelissen, the primal mother of Flemish comedy, has been a fixture as a solo performer in Flemish halls for more than 30 years. After countless roles in theater and on television, she established her name with taboo-breaking productions like The Vagina Monologues and The Menopause Monologue.
