Explore the unique universe of this house-museum and its enchanting gardens. This visit offers an overview of the history of the villa, built in the Art Déco style, as well as the hectic life of its owners, David and Alice van Buuren, great lovers of art and culture.
The interior, a masterpiece of the Art Déco, offers a unique ensemble furnished by renowned Belgian, French and Dutch decorators. In this house-museum, rare furniture, signed carpets, stained glass, sculptures and paintings by Belgian (from Peter Brueghel to James Ensor) and international masters, from the 15th to the 20th century, have remained in their place in the intimate setting of a private house. A real journey back in time with exceptional works!
The gardens are in themselves a masterpiece of landscape art with the regular garden, the picturesque garden and the large rose garden designed by Jules Buyssens. In the sixties, René Pechère created the Labyrinth and the Heart Garden. Alice van Buuren made this park a place for walking, meditation and dreaming.
After the visit you can walk freely in the garden.
