CHRISTMAS CONCERT - the little singers of Belgium

A varied and atmospheric Christmas program by this well-known Belgische Knapenkoor Opgericht in 1965, the choir changed into a non-profit organization named "Les Petits Chanteurs de Belgique" in 1971; the boys come from all regions. From 1998 onwards, Christiane Bourry takes on the organization of this boys' choir. Everything is done to restore the once-famous "singing schools for choirboys" — the prime exponents of our Christian civilization — to their former glory at the highest possible artistic level. Great care is devoted to vocal training by identifying the specific sonority of each child. They are motivated to discover their own vocal sensitivity and give the best of themselves. The quality of timbre in every boy characterizes this choir and has given it a renowned reputation in musical circles both at home and abroad. The choir prioritizes preserving the specific nature of boys' voices. To this end, it is constantly obliged to scout for new voices given the voice change that occurs in every boy during puberty. Several boys come from Flanders. With enthusiasm, these boys participate in concert tours along with associated cultural visits. The international contacts during these trips are a true revelation and enrichment for the boys. They have visited Denmark, Sweden, Scotland, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, France, Russia, Spain, Italy, New York, etc. In 2002, the choir participated in various Christmas concerts with the famous baritone José Van Dam. The boys' voices, crystal clear yet strong as a rock, enchanting yet so fragile and delicate, will undoubtedly move you. The choir is a member of the national and international Federatie Pueri Cantores De. General musical direction is entrusted to Marin Morest Noëlla Delsaut, who ensures individual training in color and vocal technique. Keith Bausier is the pianist of the choir.
