▲ SCAFFOLDINGS OLÉ
A celebration of work in progress and/or its decline. Part III. The title of the new record – and of the previous ones, is also the pitch that the Brussels-based band ECHAFAUDAGES Olé have been using since their beginnings.
The trio composed of Rob Swennen (drums, vocals), Robin Courderc (double bass) and Christophe Trausch (guitar) offers a blend of post-punk and avant-jazz imbued with frustration and revolt.
"A Celebration of the Work in Progress and/or the Decline of It. Part III" is released on October 20 on Bagdaddy Records and was recorded, mixed and mastered by Jan Viggria.
Lauréat du Concours Circuit 2025, ECHAFAUDAGES Olé also received the BRASS favorite coup de coeur award.
▲ BARALHA
Bárbara C. Branco (PEGA, Tuvalu), a Brussels-based multidisciplinary artist, teams up with percussionist Falk Schrauwen (Echoes Of Zoo, re#encounter) and multi-instrumentalist Mathieu Versini (Almost Lovers). Together, they form the band Baralha, where songs inspired by the Portuguese coast are carried beyond the seas, to the depths of the ocean. One finds there both the melancholy of fado, the determination of punk and the warmth of folk.
Their first album, "Larva Mermaid", produced by Mathieu, will soon be released at Humpty Dumpty & Wild Goose Chase Records.
▲ DUMGORDON
Dumgordon is a young Brussels industrial music and no wave duo exploring the themes of decline and urgency through indefinitely extensible repetitions. Inspired by Coil, Swans, Einsturzende Neubauten, David Lynch.
